PLASTIC
MATERIALS AND ARTICLES IN CONTACT WITH FOOD
Polinet hereby certify that
Polyethylene Raschel Bags
Polyethylene Tubular Nets
Polyethylene Drawstrings
Natural Film & Printed laminated film
Polinet manufacture the goods in the EU directive
90/128/EEC (23-02-90) and its subsequent amendments
respectively:
92/39/EEC (14-05-92)
93/09/EEC (14-05-93)
95/03/EEC (14-02-95)
96/11/EEC (05-03-96)
Polinet would like to draw your attention
to the fact that the mentioned directive
includes a limit of 10 mg/dm² on the
Overall Migration limit (OML) from finished
plastic articles into food. In addition
there may be Specific Migration Limit (SML)
requirements for some monomers and/or additives.
This migration should be measured on finished
articles placed into contact with the foodstuff
or appropriate food simulants for a period
and at temperature which chosen by reference
to the contact conditions in actual use,
according to the rules laid down in 93/8/EEC
and 85/572/EEC.
Please note that it is the responsibility
of both the manufacturers of finished food
contact articles as well as the industrial
food packers to make sure that these articles
in their actual use are in compliance with
the imposed specific migration requirements.
Results of test performed in a neutral
laboratory on our raschel bags, net bags,
and film samples indicate that our products
would meet the overall migration requirements.
